Royal AM and Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize will TODAY, 10 April learn their fate at the PSL offices.
The league’s Board of Governors (BoG) will meet to decide on the future of Royal AM in the PSL.
Royal AM face immediate expulsion from the league for their failure to honour official fixtures since the start of 2025.
ROYAL AM FACE EXPULSION FROM THE PSL – THE BACKGROUND
The last time Royal AM played a competitive match was on 29 December 2024 when they lost 3-1 to TS Galaxy.
They were then dealt a major blow with SARS going after their bosslady MaMkhize and eventually taking over the club via curatorship.
Royal AM were recently put up for auction as SARS attempted to recover all the monies owed to them by MaMkhize.
However, the auction was unsuccessful as the highest bidder failed to make a full payment at a stipulated time.

The PSL Executive Committee (PSL ExCo) later met to come up with a solution to the problem.
And as reported on The South African website, the PSL ExCo recommended that Royal AM be expelled from the league.
Now, what’s left is for the league’s BoG to either vote in favour or against of the recommendation.
Should the BoG adopt the recommendation that Royal AM be expelled from the PSL, then that will impact other teams in the league.
And if that happens, the face of the Betway Premiership log is likely to change completely with teams either going up or down.
WILL THE BoG SAVE THWIHLI THWAHLA?
