Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brian Baloyi has suggested a new role for Amakhosi legend Itumeleng Khune.
Baloyi gives Khune his flowers, suggests Bafana role
In a recent Instagram reel, Itumeleng Khune and Brian Baloyi participated in an ‘Agree or Disagree’ debate with a passionate Pirates fan.
“I think you are a better goalkeeper [than I was]. You should even be Bafana Bafana’s goalkeeper coach,” Baloyi stated, which left Khune humbled.
“Hopefully, the doors will open,” the former Amakhosi man replied.
“I will take that opportunity to be a goalkeeper coach and help transfer my skills to the future South African goalkeepers.”

Meanwhile, as fate would have it, Pirates and Chiefs meet twice at the sharp end of the 2024-2025 campaign. First, they do battle in the Betway Premiership on Saturday, 03 May at 15:00. Then, they meet in the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday, 10 May.
