Mzansi is still reeling from the loss of award-winning veteran actor Don Mlangeni Nawa, who passed away at the age of 65.

According to his uncle, veteran actor Mabutho “Kid” Sithole, Mlangeni fell seriously ill in August 2024. Speaking to Sunday World, he said Don had been struggling with persistent stomach pains and other health complications for the past eight months.

“I do not know what the exact cause of his death was. He has not been well since August last year, he was struggling with some parts of his body and would experience stomach pains,” he shared.

According to Sithole the actor was a lighthearted soul who enjoyed simple pleasures, and preferred to stay away from debates, politics, or industry-related issues.

“He was a simple fellow who loved what many artists loved. He loved picnics and entertainment but was not close to debates, social issues, and politics.

The actor’s wife, Regina Nawa, told the outlet in an interview that his cause of death will be announced later by the family.
