Kaizer Chiefs outcast targeted by French giants in shocking move

Kaizer Chiefs outcast is targeted by French giants in a shocking move.

Fiacre Ntwari may have slipped down the pecking order at Naturena, but the Rwandan international could be on the verge of a stunning switch to Europe.

Insiders close to the situation have confirmed that a well-established French Ligue 2 side is actively pursuing the 25-year-old goalkeeper, with talks already underway behind the scenes.

“Yes, the interest is there and it’s from France. It’s a first division side which is Ligue Two in France. They are a big club though they are playing in the lower division,” a source said.

Ntwari, who joined Amakhosi from TS Galaxy at the beginning of the season, has only featured in five Betway Premiership matches. He has yet to keep a clean sheet, conceding seven goals, and recently lost his starting spot to Bruce Bvuma.

European scouts impressed despite limited game time

Even with limited exposure in the DStv Premiership, Ntwari’s international form continues to turn heads. As Rwanda’s undisputed No.1, his performances on the continental stage have drawn the attention of French scouts.

The potential move to Ligue 2 could offer Ntwari the consistent game time he’s been missing, a critical factor ahead of Rwanda’s upcoming international fixtures.

“The Rwanda national team are also believed to be helping out with him to find a team where he can play regularly, and help the national team,” the source revealed.

Chiefs considering their options

Kaizer Chiefs now find themselves in a tricky position. With Ntwari under contract for another two seasons, the club must decide whether to hold onto a player they’re not using or cash in while European interest is hot.

“Chiefs are looking at the best way to deal with his situation so this could open a way out for him,” the source added.

The Glamour Boys haven’t confirmed any formal offers yet, but all signs point toward a potential exit before the next transfer window closes.

A new chapter awaits for Ntwari?

With Europe calling and Rwanda pushing for a move. Ntwari could soon trade Naturena’s bench for a starting spot in one of France’s most competitive leagues.

Watch this space, because this might be just the reboot the Rwandan goalkeeper needs. And Kaizer Chiefs may have a transfer decision to make sooner rather than later.
