BREAKING: Orlando Pirates to sign Kaizer Chiefs academy star

Orlando Pirates loanee Thabo Mphaki has enjoyed a breakout season at Wits, attracting several rival teams.

“Thabo Mphaki has recently attracted interest from Sekhukhune United, TS Galaxy, and Orbit College FC. His form at Wits has been hard to ignore,” an inside source revealed.

“He’s matured a lot since his days at Chiefs development, and Pirates could decide it’s time to integrate him into the senior setup,” the source added.

The eighteen-year first broke onto the season at Kaizer Chiefs’ academy before heading to the Buccaneers, where he is on the brink of a first-team promotion.

“Mphaki is one of the most promising players in the Pirates system right now,” a source said.

“He’s been impressive at Wits, showing maturity beyond his years. There’s a strong possibility he’ll be recalled to fight for a first-team place, especially if a new coach wants to work with fresh, young talent.”

Investing in the future

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates have penciled a three-year deal with rising star Yanga Madiba.

“They have already made that decision. For now, it’s as good as done, and it’s believed to be a three-year contract which would apparently run from July this year until June 2028,” said Soccer Laduma.

“He is still young, and they want him to grow and gain experience while learning from the older players.”

Who else should Orlando Pirates be monitoring?
