Orlando Pirates are reportedly weighing up a return for midfielder Thabo Mphaki, who is currently out on loan.

Mphaki has been impressing in the ABC Motsepe League for Wits University this season.

Now, reports suggest the Buccaneers are set to recall the former Kaizer Chiefs academy star back to Mayfair.

According to the latest transfer gossip, Thabo Mphaki is attracting interest from a host of top-flight clubs.

Further reports claim Orlando Pirates are not willing to lose the 18-year-old midfield sensation, and a return to the Buccaneers looks like an obvious decision for management.

“Mphaki is one of the most promising players in the Orlando Pirates system right now. He’s been impressive at Wits, showing maturity beyond his years. There’s also a strong possibility he’ll be recalled to fight for a first-team place, especially if a new coach wants to work with fresh, young talent,” and insider told Soccer Laduma.
