According to Soccer Laduma, the mighty Al Ahly are keen on signing the 30-year-old striker from their local rivals, Pyramids FC.
“It’s true Pyramids want to keep him and that’s why they have offered him a new two-year contract when his current contract is only ending in June 2026,” a source told the outlet.
“And one of the teams that has enquired about him is their Cairo rival, Al Ahly. At the moment, there is nothing much we can say, but the interest is there, and Al Ahly have enquired about him.

An additional source told the leading publication: “You see, as much as Kaizer Chiefs and Al Ahly could both be interested in Mayele, it will go down to how much they are offering. Personally, he is believed to have a very good salary, and Pyramids are one of the highest-paying clubs not only in Egypt but in Africa as well. So, although there is a different interest in him, it will all go down to monetary factors.
