Large sections of the Kaizer Chiefs fanbase wish this season were over. The club’s influential defender, Inacio Miguel, essentially agrees.
A SEASON TO FORGET FOR KAIZER CHIEFS
This coming Saturday, Kaizer Chiefs lock horns with arch rivals Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup. Speaking to the media ahead of the epic occasion, Miguel believes that possibly winning the game will not change the story of the 2024/25 season.
“We have to be honest, it has been a bad season. I have also had a bad season,” Miguel said as quoted by Citizen. “A lot of goals I wanted to achieve with the club, I didn’t make it.
“If we win the cup it will be a big moment and we will be happy. But you don’t forget the bad results during the season. I will make sure everyone knows this was not a good season for Kaizer Chiefs,” he told the Citizen.
“But it it is a process. We won’t focus on the bad results. Our focus will be on what we can do in the future,” the Angolan concluded.
The clash against Orlando Pirates will be held at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday at 15:30.
