Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly engaged in negotiations for Cassius Mialula and Fiston Mayele.
The Congolese striker has had another prolific season, most recently scoring an emphatic brace in the Champions League quarterfinals to guide Pyramids to a final-four matchup against Orlando Pirates.
According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs have listed Mayele as a priority target for the upcoming window.
“Yes, they are prioritising Fiston Mayele but they don’t want to be caught off guard if things don’t work out with him and that’s why they are reigniting the interest in [Fagrie] Lakay,” an inside source revealed.
More on Mialula
Toronto FC baller Mialula is enjoying life on load at Wydad Athletic, contributing nine goals and assists this season.
Kaizer Chiefs are willing to go all out for the 23-year-old but face some stern competition.
“Chiefs have enquired about him but you know he is a Toronto FC player, and they are the ones to make the final decision,” an inside source revealed to SoccerLaduma.
“Are they loaning him out again or can Chiefs buy him from them? But as for Chiefs being interested in him that’s true and they are ready to fight for his signature.”
Another source said, “For Wydad it will depend on whether coach Rulani Mokwena is still there or if whoever takes over still needs him.
There is interest from Europe. So, Chiefs have to outbid all the other interest if they are to have a chance of signing him. But it’s true they have shown interest in Mailula.”
Who else should Kaizer Chiefs be monitoring?
