Kaizer Chiefs are expected to sign several players this offseason, but perhaps mirroring last winter’s ten-player haul is a stretch too far.
AmaKhosi have given Nasreddine Nabi the financial freedom to lure top talent, including their most recent impact signing, Makabi Lilepo.
However, AmaKhosi are living proof that money doesn’t always mean success, currently lying vicariously outside of MTN8 qualification, sitting ninth on the log with eight victories and eleven defeats this offseason.
Who’s getting the axe?
According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs are expected to release numerous players to make way for fresh talent, including striker Ranga Chivaviro.
“Coach (Nasreddine) Nabi has already drawn up a list of players that he wants the team to release at the end of the season. He has already submitted the list together with the list of players he would like the club to sign,” said the source.
Other players expected to be on the list is George Matlou and Mduduzi Mdantsane.
