Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly exploring an exit strategy for Mduduzi Mdantsane.
The 30-year-old, still on AmaKhosi’s books, is on loan at Magesi but will return to Naturena once the season concludes. According to reports, Sekhukhune United are monitoring the situation.
“Sekhukhune United could have the advantage of signing Mdu [Mdantsane] because Kaizer Chiefs are looking at either loaning him out or to releasing him permanently with his contract remaining with one year on it and this could give Sekhukhune United the chance to sign him,” SoccerLaduma confirmed.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs have promoted another youngster: striker Naledi Hlongwane.
The 19-year-old has converted eleven times this season, making him one of the hottest prospects coming out of the DDC circuit.
“What I can tell you is the five-year deal is the one believed to have been agreed upon by all parties,” an inside source explained.
Pyramids pair wanted
Nasreddine Nabi’s scouts have been monitoring Pyramids pair Fiston Mayele and two-time Nedbank winner Fagrie Lakay.
Kaizer Chiefs, who only want one, have Mayele as their priority target, but remain open to signing Lakay if the initial deal falls through.
“At the moment there is not one striker who the club could say is the one joining them.
“Yes, they are priotising Fiston Mayele but they don’t want to be caught off guard if things don’t work out with him and that’s why they are reigniting the interest in [Fagrie] Lakay.
“You remember they have been interested in him for some time now? They are just waiting for that chance to sign him. And this could be the right time to do so for the club.”
Who should Kaizer Chiefs sign: Mayele or Lakay?
