Chiefs vs Sundowns : Teko Modise makes his prediction

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Teko Modise has made his prediction ahead of the anticipated Nedbank Cup clash between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs.

Amakhosi travel to Pretoria, hoping to reach their first final in four years. The two teams have already met three times this season, with Masandawana winning all of them.

‘The General’, who has played for Sundowns, said his former team has the edge over Amakhosi on Sunday at the Loftus Versfeld. Teko Modise also felt Kaizer Chiefs lacked the personnel to beat Sundowns.

“I don’t think they have the personnel to upset Mamelodi Sundowns, but we’ve seen remarkable things happen in football.

“Just because you’re favourites doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve already won the game,” he told iDiski Times.

Teko Modise says Kaizer Chiefs lack the personnel to upset Downs

Modise explained Chiefs’ potential game plan, saying the Soweto giants are more likely to attack early in the match.

“I think Mamelodi Sundowns have to go out on the weekend to actually try and win the game and Kaizer Chiefs will possibly try and use the energy because they don’t have a game in midweek, Modise added.

“They’ll try and use as much energy as they can and just try and get as early goals as possible because knowing that Mamelodi Sundowns they will possibly be back in the country by Friday, and they don’t have enough time to actually train for that game.”

Teko Modise is one of the many football fans who are predicting Sundowns to eliminate Kaizer Chiefs from the Nedbank Cup on Sunday evening.
