Striker Christian Saile will NOT be returning to Kaizer Chiefs ahead of the start of the 2025-26 season.
Saile is currently on the books of SuperSport United where he is playing under the watchful eye of Gavin Hunt.
He joined Matsatsantsa as part of the deal that saw Tashreeq Morris leave for Kaizer Chiefs in January.
And while Saile’s move to SuperSport United was initially thought to be a loan, it has emerged that it was permanent.
What’s unclear at this stage is whether or not Matsatsantsa paid a certain fee to Chiefs for his services.
SuperSport United CEO Stanley Matthews told FARPost that they signed Saile from Chiefs on a permanent deal.
Furthermore, Matthews said SuperSport United have an option to extend Saile’s stay until the end of the 2027-28 season.
Now, this means Saile signed a one-and-a-half-year deal with SuperSport United when he left Kaizer Chiefs.
The 25-year-old attacker has already scored two goals in 12 appearances for SuperSport United this season.
Since his arrival in South Africa two years ago, Saile has featured in 68 competitive matches.
He featured 56 times for the Glamour Boys during his one-and-a-half-year stint, scored seven goals and provided four assists.
Saile has, so far, played 12 matches and scored twice for SuperSport United without providing any assist.
With his future now sorted for next season, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) attacker will now aim to improve his stats.

“Saile’s move was permanent, we have options to extend to 2027/28 [season],” said Matthews.
