Kaizer Chiefs are reportedly showing interest in yet another Mamelodi Sundowns attacking midfielder.
The Amakhosi management are working hard to give Nasreddine Nabi a squad to compete with Sundowns and Orlando Pirates next season.
According to the latest transfer gossip, Kaizer Chiefs are closely monitoring the situation of a struggling Sundowns winger.
Kaizer Chiefs eyeing Sundowns youngster
21-year-old Mamelodi Sundowns winger Thapelo Maseko is reportedly a wanted man.
Kaizer Chiefs FC, long-time admirers of the former SuperSport United star, are planning to make a move for the speedy winger.
Maseko has made just 10 appearances for the Brazilians this season, all of them from the bench!
And according to local publication Soccer Laduma, the Glamour Boys are closely monitoring the wingers situation with the intention of luring him to Naturena!
In other related news, Kaizer Chiefs pulled off a stunning come-from-behind victory over arch rivals Mamelodi Sundowns to book their place in the Nedbank Cup final.
Sundowns took the lead on the stroke of half-time through a superb Teboho Mokoena free-kick. Wandile Duba’s quick thinking however levelled matters for the visitors in the 57th minute.
Ashley Du Preez was then on hand to finish off from close range in the 89th minute, sealing the victory for Chiefs.
Kaizer Chiefs will now meet fellow Soweto giants Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final. The match is scheduled to take place on 10 May 2025 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
In fact, the Soweto Derby will take place twice within the space of a week. This includes their league fixture on 03 May at the FNB Stadium.
