Kenny Kunene begs President Trump to attend G20 in SA

Patriotic Alliance Deputy President Kenny Kunene has called on Donald Trump not to pay any mind to Julius Malema’s comments on him. This after the US President hinted that he would not be attending the G20 Summit in South Africa later this year.

The EFF leader has condemned the controversial statesman for his views about the country, as well as his harsh tariff penalty system.

In recent weeks, Trump has condemned SA for promoting “racial discrimination,” “genocide,” and “confiscating land” from white South Africans. He has since issued an Executive Order for the minority population to seek refugee status in the US.

DONALD TRUMP TO SNUB G20 SUMMIT?

In a post on his Truth Social platform, US President Donald Trump hinted that he would not only attend the G20 Summit in South Africa but would influence other countries to pull out, too.

He posted: “How could we be expected to go to South Africa for the very important G20 meeting when land confiscation and genocide is the primary topic of conversation?

“They are taking the land of white farmers and then killing them and their families.

Hinting at a potential boycott, he continued: “The United States has held back all contributions to South Africa. Is this where we want to be for the G20? I don’t think so!”

The G20 Summit is expected to take place between 22 and 23 November at a venue yet to be confirmed. This year’s theme is “Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability.”

Despite the name, the organisation was initially made up of 19 sovereign states.

This year the following countries have been invited to make a presentation: Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.

KENNY KUNENE CALLS OUT MALEMA’S COMMENTS

Meanwhile, Kenny Kunene has appealed to President Donald Trump to attend the G20 Summit despite Julius Malema’s comments on the US’s potential snub.

Tagging Donald Trump, and even his aide Elon Musk, the former EFF member posted on his X account: “Mr President, Julius Malema is not government in South Africa. He is a small boy, a toy soldier, and a very, very harmless pest. All that talk is about him being a loudmouth.

He continued, “So don’t be misled by an irritating political mosquito. Come to the G20 here in SA to see for yourself; you will be fine.”

In a statement on Friday, Malema accused Trump of being “delusional” and spreading “disinformation” about SA. The EFF leader also condemned the president’s controversial tariff system, which has resulted in trade wars with other countries.
