Orlando Pirates begin talks with Pyramids star
According to the latest transfer gossip, the Buccaneers have opened talks with arguably the best striker on the continent at present.
Pyramids and DR Congo striker Fiston Mayele has been closely linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs however, their neighbours are making a move to sign him instead!
Mayele lead the charge for Pyramids and knocked Orlando Pirates out of the CAF Champions League almost single-handedly.
Now the Buccaneers are pushing hard to sign the lethal 30-year-old striker.
“There has been contact and although nothing is concrete at this stage, there is a possibility,” insiders told Soccer Laduma.
“Mayele’s camp is testing the waters and trying to see if Pirates are willing to make a concrete move. Given the current situation, both in terms of Orlando Pirates’ need for a proven striker and Mayele’s availability, this could be a very real transfer possibility.”
