Orlando Pirates brace themselves for massive Champions League test

Just two matches stand in the way of Orlando Pirates and the Champions League final. Pyramids FC are their opponents in a two-legged semi-final clash, a team boasting the goal-scoring talents of Congolese marksman Fiston Mayele. The 30-year-old is a known target for Kaizer Chiefs, and he’ll be desperate to shine against their archrivals Pirates. He has 19 caps for Congo, and a remarkable six goals from nine Champions League outings this term.

Next up for the Sea Robbers is the first leg of a massive Champions League semi-final against Egyptian outfit Pyramids FC. This clash takes place at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 19 April at 18:00. The second leg is on Friday, 25 April in Egypt.

Northeast English giants Sunderland, currently scrapping to fight their way back into the Premier League, are keen on two Bucs stars. The ‘Black Cats’ were relegated from the top-flight in 2016-2017.
