Mthembu recalls his Orlando Pirates dilemma
Siphelele Mthembu had the rare distinction of representing Chiefs and Pirates. It’s not a conventional path, and the journey wasn’t normal either. Although his best work was at Platinum Stars under Cavin Johnson, the biggest story of his career revolves around Soweto’s giant football clubs.
Speaking to FARPost, the former Soweto specialist revealed he grew up supporting Kaizer Chiefs and trained with the Glamour Boys in 2008, only to be told he signed with Pirates against his will and without his knowledge. Check out the full story.
