Mamelodi Sundowns have an exciting few weeks ahead, from the Champions League and PSL to the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
Do it right, and they could end their campaign with some serious silverware, including an eighth successive league title.
However, with success comes observers, and several European clubs are monitoring the Brazilians, namely trio Teboho Mokoena, Iqraam Rayners and Lucas Ribeiro Costa.
Interest confirmed
Sundowns, who are due a huge cash injection following the Club World Cup, will have the means to sign superstars, but that doesn’t mean they want to let their current ones go.
Earlier in the season, Glasgow Rangers, who also have an interest in Relebohile Mofokeng, were reportedly eyeing former Stellies striker Rayners. The Scottish giants were considering tabling around an R50 million bid.
In Europe, the French side of Lille has Ribeiro in its sights, while Mokoena is piquing the interest of an unnamed French side.
“It will be hard to keep Tebza for a long time. There is interest in him almost every week or month, and it’s becoming overwhelming for the club now,” SoccerLaduma revealed.
“The latest is from France. I can’t say exactly which club it is at the moment, but the enquiry has been there, from France.”
Who should Sundowns sign in the offseason?
