There are just two more rounds left in the round-robin stage of the URC, and all the SA teams still have plenty to play for.
In the last round of action, the Bulls and Sharks cemented their playoff spots and remain in the top four, while the Stormers leapt into sixth place on the standings.
The Lions also broke a five-game losing streak in the URC and EPCR Challenge Cup, although they trail eighth-placed Benetton by six points with two pool matches remaining.
Heading into this penultimate weekend of round-robin matches, the Bulls are holding onto third place on the log (58 points) – one behind Glasgow – followed by the Sharks in fourth position (53 points).
The Stormers have hopped up into sixth place (45 points), while the Lions remain on the lower end of the table in 13th position (35 points).
URC Fixtures to note for the SA teams
Looking ahead to this weekend, the Sharks first host the Ospreys at 19:00 (SA time) on Friday, and should be confident of bagging a big win.
On Saturday, the Bulls face a tricky fixture against fifth-placed Cardiff (16:00 kick off), but they will be certain favourites to come out on top.
Similarly, the Stormers should target a full haul of log points against the last-placed Dragons (18:15 kick off), while the Lions will hope to have the opportunity to complete a clean sweep for SA teams when they host the seventh-placed Scarlets on Sunday (15:00 kick off).
