Mamelodi Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso has revealed that Lucas Ribeiro has been a marked man.

“I think it is important to say that after Lucas scored goals against Pirates and Chiefs, it is clear all teams have worried so much about closing him down,” said Cardoso as per Citizen.
“You don’t see him free in the team any more. It is important the team understands that with two or three players on him, there are other spaces on the pitch that should be used. And for him if he is pressed so much he must release the ball early and let others play, then position himself to find space.”

“Of course, we will use them according to the level so that, indeed, they can be powerful for us. As I told you last time I sat here, I believe they will help us until the end of the season for sure,” Cardoso added.
Sundowns and Al Ahly will kick off on Friday at 18:00 from the Cairo International Stadium.
